Food as Medicine, Enjoyment as Nourishment
“If I bought this, I would just use it as a drink mixer…” she says with amusement, shaking the bottle of Elderberry Syrup after sipping down a tiny cup full. “But that can’t be good for me…”
This exact comment is so common, we could attribute it to countless customers. The amusement always grows when we happily respond, “Why not?!”
Separating food and medicine, enjoyment and nourishment, is a quite recent phenomenon.
Sure, we’ve all heard ‘let thy food be thy medicine‘. Could a phrase old enough to use the word ‘thy’ really still ring true in 2023?
We’re here to remind you that yes, it sure can!
Autumn is near, and many of us are starting to think again about wellness. With kids back in school, and time indoors growing, it’s time to focus on immune health and nutrition.
So, start simply. Go ahead and add your daily dose of Elderberry Syrup to that jug of sangria you’re sharing with your friends! Splash some Fire Cider into a bowl of soup! Mix the two together for an immune-boosting vinaigrette!
We believe that wellness means balance. You can have enjoy yourself, be creative, all while being healthy, too. And it’s often the simplest of beginnings that lead to the greatest impact when it comes to our health.
However you take your herbal tonics, using them joyfully will always make them that much better for you.
